How Google sees your Base44 app
Base44’s documentation says it serves crawlers a pre-rendered page, so search engines can read your content without running the app. If a page hasn’t been rendered yet, crawlers get a short summary with the page heading, description and links instead of an empty shell.
There’s an important catch: Base44’s SEO setup is designed for apps published on a custom domain. Free Base44 addresses can still be crawled, but Base44 says they aren’t intended for long-term search visibility. Custom domains need a paid plan.
What Base44 does for you
- Pre-rendered pages for crawlers
- A unique title for each page, based on its address
- Canonical tags that ignore tracking parameters such as
utm_tags - A
sitemap.xmlwith your public pages, and arobots.txtthat blocks private ones - Social preview tags and 1200 × 630 share images
- Breadcrumb structured data on every page
What’s still up to you
- A custom domain, if you want to be found in search.
- A description for each page. Base44 doesn’t write a custom meta description for every page by default. Add them on the Meta tags tab of the SEO & GEO page. Tags you set there take priority over any titles in your app’s code.
- llms.txt, if you want one for AI crawlers. Base44 can generate it, but it’s off by default.
- Search Console. Base44 recommends submitting your sitemap even though it creates one for you.
- Content worth finding. Clear headings, specific details and FAQs in the words your users use.
Your data
Base44 runs your app’s database and sign-in for you, which makes it easy to forget who can see what. Sign in as two different test users and check that neither can see the other’s data, and that admin pages refuse ordinary users. Our security guide explains what to look for.
Your Base44 launch checklist
