When to use it
When people visit but almost nobody signs up, or when friends need you to explain the app after they’ve seen the page. Headlines like “The future of plant care” sound good and say nothing.
Fill in the two brackets before you paste it, and be specific. “Reminders to water houseplants” is better input than “plant care app”. “People who forget to water their plants” is better than “plant lovers”.
Choosing between the three
Show each option to someone who has never seen your app, for a few seconds, then ask what the app does. Keep the one they can say back most accurately, even if it’s not the most exciting one.
What to check afterwards
- The headline still fits on two lines on a phone.
- Your page title and description, the ones Google shows, say the same thing. If they don’t, use the SEO titles prompt next.
- After a week or two, compare sign-ups with the weeks before.
